1. What is One Piece Please (OPP)?
One Piece Please (OPP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting our oceans and beaches. Our philosophy is simple: clean up after yourself and take one extra piece of trash to prevent it from polluting our oceans. Small actions can create big change!
2. How long has OPP been around?
Weโve been cleaning up beaches for over 30 years, but we recently formalized our efforts as an official nonprofit to expand our impact and engage more volunteers and partners.
3. How can I get involved?
There are many ways to support OPP! You can:

4. Do I need to sign up to volunteer at a cleanup?
While walk-ins are welcome, we encourage you toย signย upย in advance so we can prepare enough supplies and resources for everyone.

5. Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes! One Piece Please is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations are tax-deductible. We provide donation receipts for your records.
6. How can I donate?
You can donate:

7. What sponsorship opportunities are available?
We offer three sponsorship levels designed to fit different levels of support:
- Silver Sponsor โ $500: Event signage, logo on volunteer shirts, and banner recognition.
- Gold Sponsor โ $1,000: All Silver benefits + website feature and custom blog post.
- Platinum Sponsor โ $1,500: All Gold benefits + custom banner, event support, and an exclusive interview shared across all platforms.

Cleanup Events
8. What should I bring to a cleanup event?
We provide most supplies, but youโre welcome to bring:
- Reusable gloves
- A reusable water bottle
- Sunscreen and a hat
- Friends and family!
9. Can my company organize a private cleanup event with OPP?
Absolutely! We love partnering with businesses for private or corporate cleanups. Contact us through ourย Contact Usย page to start planning.
10. What happens to the trash collected during cleanups?
We sort and properly dispose of all collected waste. Recyclable items are separated, and we track the amount of trash removed to measure our collective impact.
Community & Impact
11. Can kids participate in cleanups?
Yes! Our cleanups are family-friendly. We encourage children to participate with proper adult supervision, making it a great learning experience.
12. How does OPP measure its impact?
We track the amount of trash collected at each event and share those results with our community. In 2024 alone, we collected over 600 pounds of trash, and weโre on track to remove thousands more pounds in 2025.
